The Steak Zombies tales and characters originate in Berlin in 2004. Since its creation, it has been using this whimsical world as a platform for artistic
experimentation. The project blurs the line between Fashion, Performance and Design.

Looking at fashion from the arts point of view Steak Zombies research new formats of fashion and their work offer, rather food for thought than readymade fashion products. It is an experience and invites into the crafting process to inspire creativity. Steak Zombies' field of work embraces formats such as graphic characters, plush-dolls and accessories, tage-outfits and theatre costumes as well as character- based real-life-costumes. In a series of Live-Sewing and Clothes Customizing Performances in clubs and catwalk-happenings, they experiment with fashion and display its actual manufacturing process as a way of artistic expression and entertainment.
