Riki Pihlanto was born and raised in Helsinki, Filand. He originally studied graphic design and art direction, but was introduced to photography in an art class. As a creative director/photo editor he later co founded the Suellen magazine.

He has since shot advertising campaigns for Levi's jeans, Fruit of the Loom, Converse and Diesel jeans. Riki currently lives in Stockholm.
